Welcome to my page! My name is Palmira Perez, I am from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico and live in Southern California. I have a law degree and I was the national anchor for “MundoMax al Instante” on the MundoMax network for their News Briefs. For 17 years I was in charge of the local news for KWHY-22 (NBC-Telemundo) and later Mundo-Fox, for which I earned four Golden Mike Awards and several nominations for the “Emmys.” During these years, I was fortunate enough to interview different important leaders; the last one being Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

I have traveled to various countries to produce specials such as “Senderos de Fe” (Trails of Faith) in Israel and “Los Secretos de Suleiman” (Suleiman’s Secrets) in Turkey.  As well as maintaining the the highest ratings as Primetime News Anchor and keeping the Latin community informed with special reports on the Iraq war, the elections in Mexico and the United States, among many others fascinating news stories.

I actively participate in several non-profit associations dedicated to helping those in need. I was a member of CCIME (Council Board of the Institute of Mexicans Abroad). I am currently a board member of “University of Guadalajara Foundation” and I am President of the “Asociaciónde Egresados de la U de G” (Alumni Association of the University of Guadalajara) in Los Angeles. I am one of three participants in “3WiseLatinas.” This group is dedicated to supporting the Latina woman, of any age, to pursue her dreams. Now in 2017, I am proud to join Univision Bay Area as the new anchor for Noticias Univision 14 KDTV at 6 p.m. and 11p.m.
