Palmira Pérez’s journalistic work has earned her four Golden Mike Awards®from the Radio & Television News Association of Southern California (RTNA). The Golden Mike Awards®are Southern California's most prestigious broadcast journalism prize. 

With 20 years of television experience in Mexico and the United States, was most recently the anchor of the 5:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. newscasts on Spanish-language station KWHY Channel 22 (originally Telemundo, now Mundofox ) For the past 15 years, her TV newscast has been the highest rated among males in Southern California. 

Peréz has interviewed some of the world's most influential figures including Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

She is a principal of “ 3 Wise Latinas “ 3WL is creating the healthiest generation of Latinas in history and  provide women of all ages with empowering content for a fulfilling quality of life. Truly passionate about giving back to her community.

Pérez was born in the in the City of Guadalajara, Jalisco. She has a Law Degree from the University of Guadalajara. She is a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ) as well as the President of the Alumni Association University of Guadalajara in Los Angeles. She is a member of the IME Advisory Council (CCIME), which functions as advisors and counselors to the Institute of Mexicans living in the United States. And Board member of “ University of Guadalajara Foundation USA “.

Perez attracted the highest Nielsen ratings of all Los Angeles Spanish television news stations, in the country’s largest Hispanic market by pulling in a key demographic. A longtime member of the Television Academy, Perez was Emmy nominated in 2014 for the 60 minute international TV news special, “Arts and Culture/History in Israel.” And in 2015 "Culture/History, Los Secretos de Suleiman"

Her many fans look for her every January at the Rose Parade where she has participated for the last ten years with her signature energy and articulation. Not limited to ‘hard news’ Palmira Perez has also produced in-depth ‘specials’ interviewing iconic singers Facundo Cabral and Gloria Trevi.
